Clairemont mortuary replaces our solemn wake with appalling bitterness. Stress and devastation is the environment where Clairemont mortuary organization finds its prey.

In august 2022, my mother-in-law lost her husband for over 60 years. This is when Clairemont mortuary's service were offered by a hospice worker.

Without price disclosure and obtaining a formal agreement, Clairemont mortuary practically snatched the body of the departed from a hospice. Only after that, Clairemont mortuary told, that their service will cost over $3000. Compare it to $637 (+ urn) other company charged! To ambush unsuspected widow, that lives on a fixed income, is predatory and immoral for any business, let alone funeral service. It's not even audacity of the gross overcharging but the confidence of the impunity makes this practice especially vicious.

They charged widow $635 just to release the body. Some folks may see it as a ransom, but Clairemont mortuary called it "release fee".

Clairemont mortuary also failed to provide death causation document when being requested, thus throwing the funeral arrangement completely off the rails.

What a shameful performance.
