Coinbase Wouldn't allow me to manage my account OTP; Jump through hoops just to change phone number

Called to change my phone number as I could not verify my Identification when logging in with my old phone number.  In order to change my number, they asked me to jump through HOOPS...asking to create a temporary account, validate, send ID,send selfie, etc. all while I'm on the phone with the woman and can provide her with EVERY SINGLE DETAIL ABOUT ME given that I was driving.

She would not let me manage my account on the phone and would not let me close my account without doing all this BS.  ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS CHANGE MY PHONE NUMBER!  I was driving and could not do this so I said fine, can you just manage my account and close it?  I should be able to manage my account on the phone....NO..THEY WILL NOT DO THIS.  THEREFORE THEY WERE HOLDING MY MONEY UNTIL I JUMPED THROUGH HOOPS JUST TO CHANGE MY NUMBER.

I asked to escalate, she said no.  I asked again, finally she said she would route it and have someone call me back. Nobody did, and I received an email stating the issue has been closed.  Opened a formal complaint saying I should be able to manage my account with someone on the phone , and they STILL WILL NOT ALLOW THIS, AND WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY.

I've been able to change my phone number at every single bank without this BS.  IT'S UNACCEPTABLE TO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE TO MANAGE THEIR MONEY ON THE PHONE.  TOTAL BS and A RIP OFF.
