I called their corporate office to report several examples of criminal behavior of one of their franchisees, examples I can prove via photos, texts, emails, and other documentation. Yet nobody will take my calls, return my calls, or reply to emails, their only response has been through their lawyers (yes, plural, they've sicked two on me). Pretty unusual way for a legitimate company to repond to these concerns, no? I've never hear dof a company hiring attorneys to take customer service calls.
This company (ComForCare) and it's parent company, Best Life Brands, have not only refused to act on this information, they've refused to even hear it. Buyer beware, they not only are unwilling to hold their franchisees accountable, their response seems to indicate that they don't even care.

First of all, the illegal activity is being committed by one of their franchisees, not the company itself, and I have reported the activity to the appropriate authorities.
With regard to their lawyers reaching out to me, I would agree with you if the company knew what I was complaining about. I've never made it past a receptionist, they never had anyone call me back with the exception of their lawyer. Is it normal for an attorney to call back a customer with a complaint as a first point of contact?
The first lawyer gave me the "each location is independently owned and operated" dismissal (this isn't true because they've more than met the criteria for an apparent agency argument, but that's a discussion for another day) and telling me that I'd have to take it up with the local office, the same one that was committing these acts. And he did so with an agressive attitude and dismissive tone, he made it clear that they weren't even interested in hearing what I had to say.
Initially I wasn't going to post a complaint on their corporate sites because I didn't think that the franchisees actions were necessarily representative of theirs, but after this interaction I did. Almost immediately, I received an email from him directing me to their outside counsel and threatening me that he'd consider it harassment if I contacted him again (keep in mind this was after I sent two emails, both of which were in response to his). Nobody. At. This. Company. Has. Even. Heard. My. Concerns. I'm not now nor was I ever accusing them of anything. Hopefully this clears things up a bit. Thanks for your comments.

You are accusing them of criminal activity, and you're shocked that they are using lawyers to respond to you? How SHOULD they react to such charges? By confessing and thanking you, leaving themselves open to lawsuits?
Sounds like they contacted their legal department and are following its advice. There's nothing "shady" about using an attorney to respond to charges, btw. If you ever get accused of a crime you'll do the same.

If there is criminal activity going on why are you not reporting it to the local law enforcement? Then since they appear to be a home healthcare company, why are you not reporting this activity to the governing agency that oversees them in your state?
I am curious as to what was the response you got from their lawyers.
