My Comfort Pro Mechanical Inc Tee Jay - Owner Not Receiving my Paycheck for doing Telemarketing Services Woodland Hils California

Worked for My Comfort Pro Mechanical Inc with the owner Tee Jay @ $14 per hour to call potential customers in his dialer system. Bear in mind, the dialer system had lots of wrong numbers, customers would say, I'm not interested, take me off your list, or they were already working with a A/C guy, they were happy with. It was not easy getting a appointment with old leads, however I did manage to get appointments otherwise.

I worked June 6, 2022 to June 11, 2022 for a total of 19.25 hours.  Worked June 14-15, 2022 for 4.24 hours = TOTAL HOURS = 23.41 = $327.74.  I actually started working for the company on May 16, 2022 and had some hick ups with his dialer system and many calls back and forth for training via his cell phone, with the script etc.

Mind you, I wasn't paid for "those hours" nor did I ask to be paid. Towards the middle of the week, I was finally able to nagative the dialer and start setting appts. Once I got the ball rolling, I was making appts for Tee Jay.

I have Breast Cancer and I've had one breast removed, plus I've been going through chemotherapy sessions, which at times can make you throw up, lose weight, feeling tired..the list goes on..however I pushed myself to make calls even though it wasn't 6 hours a day.

Found out from my legal counsel that I was working as a 1099, not an employee. Since I wasn't an employee, and only a 1099, I can work the hours that I'm able to. Yes, I would of liked to work 6 hours a day, when I wasn't feeling sick from chemo. However this last round, really hit me hard. He pulled the rug out from under me and without saying anything let me go. He even changed the PW on the dialer system so I was locked out.

I never received my paycheck via Zelle on Friday, June 17, 2022 and I don't have another job, which Tee Jay is claiming I do. This was the only job I was doing with my telemarketing services. I reached out to Tee Jay several times by email and text, yet he refuses to reply back and decided it's best to ignore me. Seriously, how is that being a professional business person. And I worked a total of 23.41 hours @ $14 per hour. (If you need more proof, I have all the email exchanges he was paying me this.)

WOW wonderful...kick someone down, when they're already sick with CANCER and getting on the phone. I did let Tee Jay know I was throwing up and had to log off, but when I felt better, I logged back on, still getting appts. My entire family knows I have cancer, and Tee Jay is the only person outside of my immediate family that knows too.  Again, what kind of individual is this? Guess I'm seeing his true colors.

Bottom line: I was ripped off with my hours I performed and my pay. Found this web site to file a complaint. I'm not one... who likes to go this route, however this is completely wrong, what he has done. I have bills to pay too...and I worked my hours in GOOD FAITH.
