Amie Marse (scam artist) is the owner of Content Equals Money, a content writing service that employed 22 employees in 2019. By March of this year, the owner blatantly refused to pay me and the rest of her staff for the work we completed, calling the situation a "cash crunch" and blaming it on the First National Bank of Omaha for freezing her account for 90+ days. (I called the bank and they explained that they wouldn't freeze an account for that long for any reason.)

Most of us (wrongly) believed that she would eventually pay us what she owed us, so we worked for 8+ weeks without a paycheck. Her lies kept coming as we waited and waited for our back pay that never came. Every week she owed us more and more as we continued to work, and every week she would dodge our questions and place blame on everyone but herself--- as she pocketed the money and our families struggled.

After I pressed a member of management with questions about the situation, this individual (who was also owed thousands) showed me screenshots of the company account. I was shocked to see that Scam Artist Amie Marse was transferring all of the incoming funds to her own debit card as she refused to make payroll! She was transferring thousands to herself and the transactions also showed lavish spending for limos, at bakeries, and at circuses. She owed me over $5k when I stopped working, and I know she owes the rest of the staff about the same.

I did more research into the situation and found that Amie Marse ripped off her entire staff in previous years as well. It seems to be her cycle.... and she's gotten away with it for years. She opens and closes the LLC under a similar business name and moves to a new state and starts all over! She has operated her fraudulent business in Kentucky, Florida, and now Nebraska. Her clients are falling for it, and so are the new writers and editors she hires to replace those who quit after they catch on to her scam.

Many of the former employees and I are working with a federal Department of Labor investigator to try to recover our backpay, but I wanted to write this report to warn others about Amie Marse and her history of scamming and exploiting talented writers, editors, and unknowing clients.

As she owes thousands totaling close to $100 grand in missing pay, reimbursements, benefits, and unpaid taxes, she has hired an entire new staff and continues to pocket the profits for herself.

Writers and editors beware: Working for Amie Marse means you're helping her continue to rip off the people who worked hard for her for months. You could be next. Don't be surprised to receive a "cash crunch" email or late/missing paychecks that she blames on the bank.

Current and future clients beware: Your money is going straight to her pockets and she's ripping off the people who actually do the the real work, the research, writing, and editing. Think before you give her your business. She is immoral and dishonest and runs a very shady, unethical content writing business.

I hope the law soon catches up to Scam Artist Amie Marse. Even if I never see the money I'm rightly owed, I will feel better knowing that she will be held accountable for her misdeeds. Many honest and hardworking people and families have suffered under her.

Enough is enough.

It's time for her scam artistry to be brought to light and for her to be brought to justice.

Facts Don't Match

AUTHOR: Kimberlee - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, November 30, 2019

- Business is closed

- Kimberlee Kile Henry worked for CEM for 7 years so how could she and multiple other people work for years if Amie closes and restarts?

- Content Equals Money has been in business since 2010. See above.

- Kimberlee Kile Henry told Amie not to talk to anybody about what was happening.

- Kimberlee and Alisa started a company in February (now on Linkedin it says June but if you look up the LLc it was registered in February)

- Kimberlee as COO maxed out benefits, increased hours, added all sorts of things to ruin any profit margin. Launched a company with Alisa and still stayed on payroll for many months.

- You are clearly well aware that Kimberlee and Alisa had a thriving "Anti-CEM" facebook page. Amie has never defended herself. Amie is now homeless, giving every last penny trying to keep CEM open.

- Amie literally has nothing, her and her son living out of their car. So you can stop being nasty...
