Took me about 15 minutes after they had called me, thanks to their telemarketer sharing with me their city location and actual company name as well as admited inexperience with mortages, to discover that they represent themselves as advocates for Veterans which they are not. The telemarketer could barely formulate a grammatically correct sentence which is what originally made me suspicious.

I was told that I was being called by the Housing and Veterans Assistance Center. After just a few questions I discovered that they were actually named Conversion Kings and were selling leads to any lender that would pay for them.

They also told me that I was already qualified for programs to help me with my VA loan even before I told them anything about me. They ony had my name and the address to a home that I had already paid off.

I may be elderly, but I'm not stupid so I did a bit of research and found the various filings with the AZ Corporate Commission. The thing that really stood out to me was that in looking at the microfilmed Articles of Organization and several amendments (on different but associated corporate filings) was that the signatures for the same people on several documents were obviously different persons signing.

I also noticed that when I googled the name of the Statutory Agents and Members they came up as people that were really impossible to find anything ligitimate on. The one exception I found was one person via Linkin that although he was not on the corporate fiing was proclaiming himself to be in charge of the company in at least some respect.

I have to question any lenders use of an organization that uses such poorly trained and unqualified agents to misrepresent themselves and lie to me right out of the gate.

Shame on any lender that stoops to this level. As what many people consider to be an eldely person I felt very preditorally targeted by this group.

Don't ask me for my credit score, my correct address, how much equity I have in my home and then if my veteran husband is still alive and expect me not to be concerned.

It sounds to me like this company probably hires anyone for the telemarketing positions. My suspicions after speaking with the person that I did and subsequently a female manager that was equally inexperienced and admitiadley not licensed to answer even my most basic questions, is that there are not likely backround checks or education requirements to work there.

Regarding your post about this company, where in it does it actually state you were scammed or ripped off? I see a lot of speculation and opinion, but very little substance.  Were you defrauded? If so, then by how much?
