Richard Gotttlieb has a long history of criminal activity starting in 1998, jailed multiple times for Theft by Deception, Identity fraud etc....   

He is still up to his games.  

He sold a 72 piece set of Reed and Barton Sterling in July 2022 for over $2,000, but will not pay the consignment commission on that sale along with the consignment fee for  15 other ebay sales. His latest excuse was that the buyer disputed the sale and will not return the silver.   He said he opened up a case with ebay which they have no record of.  

He refuses to show a consignee any proof of any such case or dispute nor does ebay have a record of such a dispute. As others on Yelp have stated he finds one excuse after another to cheat his customers.  He touts his stellar ebay feedback record, but these customers only see that their sale arrived fast and was well packed.   

They do not know he did not pay for the merchandise he sold on ebay. HE IS SELLING STOLEN MERCHANDISE. He has over 2000 items listed on ebay with no way to track sales and what money is supposed to be paid to a customer or consignee. 

HIS STORE IS A MESS, WITH NO SENSE OF ORGANIZATION.  HE TELLS YOU THAT YOUR MERCHANDISE WILL BE KEPT TOGETHER ON SHELVES AND MARKED. 

His bookkeeping is from the 1950's. He has a file for every consignment customer and manually places a printout of a sale in a folder.   He then adds up the printouts. Customers have to check ebay to see what is sold and demand their commission which he refuses to pay. 

He refuses to get a computer program to track sales, because then that would be too easy for law enforcement to catch him.  Everything is manually done. He is a well oiled con artist who will tell you how hard he and his son and nephew work in the business.   

He will proudly claim has been in business for 15 years, but when you do research he has 1 star bad yelp reviews from 2014 (8 years ago). I hope this review helps others to never consign with Crazy Richards Sold It.
