Cypress Breeze Farm attendant ran away leaving me to bleed out. Pinellas Park Florida

Beware! Cypress Breeze Farms has no liability insurance and the owner, Monika, disappears when you have a traumatic injury on her farm, as I did. The horse saved my life by staying still when the attendant ran away, leaving me to bleed out, after she directly caused my injury. Behind their clever marketing is a facility run very unprofessionally and an owner who has no heart, even though she knew that her poorly trained employee caused me to lose my finger--not the horse--and that I had to spend close to $100,00 out of my own pocket after almost losing my life at Cypress Breeze Farms. I never heard a word from the owner. It's unbelievable, truly. My life was traumatized the day I trusted Cypress Breeze Farms with a family horseback riding outing.

I arrived at Cypress Breeze Farms with my two daughters and husband, filled with positive expectancy.

The day quickly became a nightmare when I was instructed by the attendant to stand on a wood platform, put my left hand on the wood post and mount a horse. My feet were in the stirrups and I screamed for the attendant, who held the reins, to stop, when I felt my ring getting caught on a nail that was on the wood post. 

The attendant had started to pull the horse away from the platform before I had finished mounting it. She was ignoring me completely as my finger was ripped off my hand. 

When she finally turned to look at me and saw me screaming that my finger had come off, she ignored me but looked at her co-worker and said to her, “She is saying her finger came off,” and then when she looked down at the ground and saw my finger, she dropped the reins, leaving the horse unattended, and ran away, leaving me alone on the horse with my amputated finger bleeding like a river.

Thank goodness the horse saved my life by not moving even though no-one held the reins.

Soon after this horribly traumatic incident (my finger could never be re-attached because of the way it had been severed), I reached out to the owner, Monika Bruesel. It turns out she had no liability insurance and no assets whatsoever. She offered me nothing.

My medical bills were close to $100,000 not to mention the emotional trauma of what I had to go through.

The worst part was feeling so abandoned by this business, Cypress Breeze Farms and the owner Monika Bruehsel, who offered me zero compensation for how her attendant handled me and the irreparable damage I endured.

Please be careful of this business that does not care for its customers and puts them in harm’s way. I don’t want anyone else to suffer as I did, due to complete negligence and lack of training or responsibility at this facility. 

What kind of a high-risk business carries no liability insurance? And what kind of owner of such a business would never try to make her negligence right? I’m just so grateful that the horse saved my life, despite so much human error, or I may have sustained even more serious injury than the permanent amputation of my finger.
