To Whom it May Concern

I address you to ask for help with the unfair solution and discriminatory case. On August 29, 2019 I went to D’Ambrosio Eye Care in Leominster, MA to my first appointment to check my vision. I got my prescription and on September 9, 2019 I went to order my glasses in the clinic of Lancaster, MA. Even when I do not really need to use glasses, I chose Gucci glasses and I added anti-reflection because I usually read and use the computer a lot because I am studying at the university. So, the decision to buy glasses was more about prevention than a necessity, and despite that, I spent around $800.00. On October 9, 2019 (one month after) I was notified that my glasses were ready.

It is relevant to mention that the lady told me that my glasses were to be ready in two weeks (they were not).They were ready in October and in my job the last three months of every year are so busy (12 hour shifts) thus, for me it was not possible to pick up my glasses. In the new year, everything started to turn crazy with the Coronavirus and unfortunately part of my family in Italy and Spain got the virus and two of them could not make it. Of course, that terrified me, and automatically, I preferred to self-isolate me. Of course, if I stopped working and went to university, I would not go to pick my glasses up because I do not really need them urgently. After four months of self-isolation, I restarted the rhythm of my life, and on May 30, 2020 finally, I went to pick my glasses up. Because of the Coronavirus, a guy did not let me enter the clinic, he just put my glasses in a basket, and I took them.

Nobody checked if the glasses worked for me, nothing. I started to use them a little bit every day because I have heard that at the beginning it is hard to get custom to glasses. I thought that was the problem (it was my first-time using glasses) but it was impossible, I could not make it, those glasses are too strong for me. Every time I used them, I got a headache and my eyes get tired. To read is impossible because letters get big and small, I do not know how to explain it. After one or two weeks I called the clinic in Lancaster, MA and a lady gave me an appointment for June 11, 2020 to check my glasses. I went that day and a lady checked my glasses; they were correct.

She said that in my case she would make an exception because of the Coronavirus and gave me another appointment to double-check my vision because everything looked like the problem was the prescription. The appointment was set up for June 27, 2020 at 11:40 am. A doctor checked my vision and said that the prescription was wrong, and the glasses were stronger. A lady got my glasses and said that they will call me. On June29, 2020 somebody called me and left a voicemail telling me that they cannot solve my case. I called them back and somebody told me that the manager would call me. The manager never called me back, On July 6, 2020 I called and finally talked to the manager, she was going to see what she could do and told me that she would call me.

Again, she never called me, so irresponsible (she lied again) and on July16, 2020 I called again and the manager, inhuman, tactless, without any sensitivity or consideration said that she was not going to fix the problem. And I get tired of explaining to her that the error was from the beginning because the doctor did a wrong prescription. She just said that my solution is to order new glasses, so I just threw away my money. I beg you to help me please; this is totally unfair. I cannot lose my money like it is not worth it. I am pretty sure that this is not the way any clinic should works.

It is relevant to say, the Manager of this clinic is a racist. She was able to tell me that the Coronavirus is my fault. Now, my question is why? Because I am a Latin person? Such a good way to treat patients has the AWESOME MANAGER, the proof is in one of the calls of July 16, 2020 (one of them because the fabulous manager hangs my calls every time she wanted). It is relevant to say that I have sent almost hundreds of this same letter in different ways (even Facebook’s Messenger) and nobody has had the delicateness to answer me, they saw the message (I can see it) but nobody answers. It is relevant to say they have my glasses still. What does that mean? That is true what I said, they accepted them because the lady told me that they went to do an exception because of the Coronavirus.
