D&T Heating and Cooling Dan Lamb Calling a liar and wont honor warranty Byron MI

About 2 years ago I had a home build at some lakefront property in Byron michigan. D&T Heating and Cooling provided a heat pump system for my 1200 square foot house that includes a basement. Dan himself up sold a heat pump system to me as an upgrade from a basic furnace which by itself was about $5,000. The heat pump exterior condenser was an additional $3,000 according to a receipt I got from the primary building contractor. In total the price was about $8,000 with warranty included. The system never ran efficiently despite being advertised as the latest and greatest in terms of efficiency, but in reality it blew my electricity bill up to about $350 a monthly for a 1200 square foot house. 2 years later around November it completely stopped working while running continuously. I had a different HVAC guy look at it before I found out who originally installed it and contacted them.

Turns out the system was never installed properly in the first place and was largely put together with Surplus parts. The thermostat is the wrong kind and doesn't even have an emergency mode, the program controller isn't even the right one for this type of system, the furnace was not put together properly in weeks air blowing out the front when running as proper aluminum tape was never used to cover that part of it. Last but not least the lines going to the condenser were over tightened to the point of breaking the seals and letting the coolant leak out which would explain why this thing never worked right and blew up my power bill.

Broken installation and wrong parts. When I got a hold of D&T all they did was call me a liar and after playing phone games, refused to honor the warranty. Kept ignoring calls until I called from a different number. I tried to resolve this over their Facebook page but I have screenshots of them admitting lying to me and playing phone games. These guys are some of the most unprofessional clowns I've ever had to deal with.
