Dan Surber was contracted to fix a main service line. He did not complete in a timely manner, acquire the necessary permits and damaged city property without repairing it. Springfield ohio

On May 20th I had Dan Surber of Dan's Plumbing (also know as Captains Plumbing/Captains Concrete) come and bid on a project. He inspected the project which was to fix the main service line to the house.

He quoted $1800 and wanted half upfront. He stated he was a licensed plumber, leading me to believe he would be acquiring all the necessary permits and inspections.

After waiting 51 days and having to threaten to involve a laywer he finally finished the job. He made constant excuses as to why he could not start/work on the project.

Once completed when asked for the permits and inspection report he said I told him he did not have to in order to save money. He had already reburied the line without inspection. During the repair they damaged the front sidewalk and did not repair it. Once confronted he started to harass me by phone threating to turn off the water, to the point I had to block his number.
