David J.Baiz of AEL&S Appriaser - Estate Liquidation & Sales Charlotte Bruno Antiques, partner Failed to pay receipts per contractual agreement San Dimas, Covina California

Sale occurred 10/25,26,27 & 28/18.  Accounting and Monies were to be forwarded in 14 days for cash sales and 30 days for credit card sales.  As of 4/1/19 no monies have been received.  Many phones calls with promises of payment by end of week were made.

 Trust atty. directed me to write letter to give actual date money to be paid, 7 days to to do so.  Sent by certified mail. as of 3/14/19 he signed the certified mail postcard so he had to pay by 3/21/19.  3/21 no money arrived.  

I spoke to him by phone to inquire why he had not paid.  He stated he had placed the money and the accounting in a suitcase and had lost the suitcase!  I asked why he had not told me this in the first place as someone who was responsible would have done. he stated he was embarrassed.  I told him he was an idiot.  

I admit that was not the most appropriate thing to do, but, really!  He has stolen the money, there is no other explanation.  A responsible person, if they really had lost this money would have gone to the bank and explained the situation and gotten a loan and paid their contractual  responsibility and then figured out how to find the suitcase.

He has failed to rectify this situation and is in breach of contract as well as being a thief to the tune of about $20-30,000.00.  Not a small sum in anyones book.
