On 8/18/2021 I brought my 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe into the above shop to get an estimate to have the drivers side exterior mirror repaired. I received a written estimate for $644.36. It took a while for the mirror to be delivered and once we were notified the mirror was in, we dropped off the vehicle. Oct. 12, 2021 the car was left at the shop for work to be done on Oct. 13. It took awhile for the mirror to be calibrated so we kept calling to find out when we would be able to pick up the car.

We called on the 13th, 14th and 15th (not ready) they were not opened over the weekend so again on Monday morning 10/18/21 I called and was told the car could be picked up anytime. At no time were we informed the price to repair the vehicles mirror DOUBLED to $1,275.46. Not once after all the calls we made to check on the status of the vehicle did we get notified of the price change. We may have gone the insurance route had we known that the cost would double.

We are both 73, my husband is in failing health and we are on a fixed income. This jump in cost should have been conveyed to us on one of those many phone calls on our part. I am very pissed with this autobody company for not communicating the correct price to us and by just blowing us off with "well, I can show you all the slips proving this is the correct cost". I am not looking for a free mirror but common courtesy. How about an "I am sorry, would you accept $100 for our screw up". Nope we just got this is what it is so just pay it and shut up basically.
