EXPOSING THE TRUTH!! Do Not Do Business With DeMontrond RV Houston!

>2021 Entegra Vision XL 36A with salesman Daniel Murphy 10/29/2020, paid $3,000 deposit, this particular model is very rare to come by as they are not produced by the manufacturer very often.

>I received notice that the RV is in transit to the dealer and Daniel was ready to setup a closing time.

>5/6/2021: Turned in financial documents as told by Daniel, told RV arrived at dealer, visited dealer to provide additional requested financial information/documents. Received notice that one of their banks declined by credit and am waiting on another, was suggested to pull a home equity loan by Daniel. Was notified I need a 700 credit score, which was never relayed to me during the entire process, from this I immediately start paying off debt to help credit score as I was just under the 700 mark by appx. 20 points. I continued to provide additional financial documents as they were requested and kept Daniel updated via text.

>5/10/2021: I received a text from Daniel telling me I need results by the next day, either a loan or cashiers check for full amount.

>

5/11/2021: I texted Daniel to let him know I am in the middle of processing a loan, will keep him updated. He replied I have until 6 pm to “keep manager content”. I visited the dealership and proposed 50% down to the finance manager, Troy, who told me he will submit to the bank and let me know the following day, I confirmed this buys me another day. I updated Daniel on this on my way out.

>5/12/2021: I receive no communication on my 50% down all morning and decided to call up asking for a manager and am transferred to Marshall Smith, who tells me they pulled my contract, he refunded my deposit, and the deal is over.

>I quickly pull all my favors and go up to meet Marshall with a check to pay for the unit in full. He smiles back to say he sold my unit and there’s nothing I can do. I try to update him on what I was told by Troy but he says he told Troy NOT to submit my proposal and he overrides anything Troy says and I didn’t come up with the money by 6 pm which means he can cancel my contract. I then told him Daniel was also aware of the 50% down and then Marshall decides to throw his employees under the bus saying “they dont know what they are doing and I make the final decisions”. I point out we have a sales contract, but Marshall states there is verbiage in there (which was cut off on the copy provided to me) that allows them to get out of ANY contract. He said a new buyer had paid an ample deposit and we are now second in line because he says so. He states “it is my RV and I can do whatever I want with it”.

>He said there is nothing we can do because higher than him is Steve Smith (his dad) and he would never talk to us. As we leave in anger and dismay, I spot my RV on the lot with my name still on the door and my daughter out to look at the paper and Marshall comes running out yelling at us. I ask about our name still being on the door and he just gives us a thumbs up and says if the deal with the new buyer falls through he will call us.

>I spoke with a manager at another location who was able to tell me that the unit was NOT sold, they just didn’t want to sell to us, he connected me with Clint Minchew, who is apparently the GM, to give them the opportunity to help me order a new one, who later sends me a quote for RETAIL price and says I can purchase through Daniel, my original salesman. This is not a solution that reads they are embarrassed or feel sorry for what they did to me.

>I additionally confirmed the unit was not sold to a new buyer when I was told by having my neighbor ask and receive a negotiated (higher) quote from the dealership the same day. These are horrible people in the RV industry and should NOT be allowed to treat customers in such a manner. There was more lying and disception found after the fact on behalf of the dealership that took my family’s dream of having an RV to now an ever-growing stress of having to re-order a new RV from a different dealer at a higher price!

I beg you! Do NOT give these people your business, they do not know what customer service is and as you can see from MANY other reviews, run their business in a very UNETHICAL manner!!
