A relatively new "firm", this company has ties to the everchanging multi-level marketing company Cydcor. They look for fresh graduates, people looking to enter business/marketing/sales, etc. with an "entry-level" level job where you start with only making commissions and have a four-step career path to making hundreds of thousands. This is simply a lie told to get people in the door, a constantly revolving door of people who will make no money, commit their lives to selling junk products door-to-door, all with the lure of being a successful manager/owner in the future.

If you have any interest in working for this company, are contacted by this company, or see a job posting on any online website do your best to ignore it. Their procedure of renaming themselves under a new organization (website and social media created in January 2020, yet the "owner" has been in the business for years) is a tactic used to distance themselves from their parent company, Cydcor. By using no mention of them on their website, their interview process, and by saying they work for a plethora of fortune 500 companies they offer the idealistic opportunity to gain money, experience, and amazing career advancement to lure in potential reps.

If you are still hesitant to decline, I hope you will at least do some research on the main company (or whatever different name they say it goes by: DS-MAX, Smart Circle, Cydcor, Innovage, Granton, Quantum, The Landers Group, Cobra Group, PerDM, Credico, Appco Group, Optimo International, Socio Max). Just remember, they do not actually "work" for Quill/AT&T/whichever company they are peddling for, they simply hassle people to buy their products. They are as close to representatives to these companies as I would be a "representative" of Johnson & Johnson by selling Tylenol to small children outside a doctor's office.

Feel free to search "Cydcor scam" and read/watch about how they target people and profit off of them. Best of luck in your job search! You will find a place that values you and appreciates your talents, don't be taken advantage of.

#3 UPDATE Employee

Wrong Info

AUTHOR: Stephanie - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 26, 2020

The owner of the business has never been an employee of Cycor. The owner has always lived and worked in Michigan. He ran bakeries in Michigan before this, and that's it- bakeries still thriving today in southwest Michigan and Ohio.

Clearly, both of these comments are coming from unreputable sources, as this forum does not fact check. This is a place people go to complain, and they are people who will complain for life. They will never admit wrongdoing. Trying to commit unemployment fraud isn't looked highly upon by the state of Michigan or companies.  My guess is the "mental toll" comes not from a company, but from a lifestyle and choices that successful people don't make.

The company hired a new social media director in January. It was the start of a new decade. Not a new firm, but always changing with innovative ideas for sure!

We don't go door to door. That's called "residential" or "business to consumers." The sales reps who work with the client Quill/Medical Arts Press work with businesses.

Of course college grads are hired! The majority of us are intelligent, driven, hard working individuals who know this kind of experience is great for our careers. There are entry level sales rep positions available. "Entry level" meaning- just entering the business world......and yes......we do make money.

Pyramid/MLM should not even be grouped together. They are completely different. The individuals who educate themselves on both and also have a knowledge of business understand that Donn Palms is not either. I encourage EVERYONE to educate themselves. I did and I am glad.

I wasn't going to even comment on the one statement, but what is this---- high school gossip at study hall? "Bill Dickerman and Jen. I believe your girlfriend left you Bill, we all know and are laughing at you. You are a horrible excuse for a human being."  .......... Bill and Jen are someone's daughter/son, with friends/family/children!! This statement is a pure example of what kind of person wrote this. Good grief. May God bless you in life with that kind of nastiness about two people.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

the rebuttal was the owner

AUTHOR: amanda - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 23, 2020

I have not commented on either of the two posts thus far but found it online. I used to work for this "company” if you could call it that. The "owner” if you can call him that, was an employee of Cycor as previously stated. The original post is completely true. This company will put a mental toll on you. They do indeed go for fresh college graduates as their victims. This is indeed a pyramid/MLM scheme. I went broke working for this company.

They stole money out of my paychecks. I went 5k into debt working here. Please do not do what I did and work for this company because you are a good person who fell for the manipulation they serve to you on a platter. They should all be in jail. Bill Dickerman and Jen. I believe your girlfriend left you Bill, we all know and are laughing at you. You are a horrible excuse for a human being. You screw over so many of us broke college grads by promising us hope for the future. No thanks to you I am back in my feet.

Employee Clearing Up False Statements

AUTHOR: Anonymous Employee - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, June 12, 2020

Obviously, I understand that this sight is a public forum. There is no fact checking on whether someone writing a comment has actual, factual experience within a company...or they are a competitor....etc. It doesn't matter. Donn Palms chooses to hire individuals who have integrity. That's why I work here. We work amonsgt people who work together to implement positivity and foster results through action and teamwork, and the action is never in the form of libel.  However, facts are facts. When things are just wrong or false, they require an accurate response from an individual who ACTUALLY has facts.

First, let's clarify what "multi-level marketing" is. This term is falsely used so often. MLM salespeople sell products to consumers (aka people) though relationship referrals and word of mouth, AND are incentivized to recruit others to join the company's chain as fellow salespeople. (EX: Avon reps)

As a Sales Representative, I DO NOT sell products to family and friends. My customers are businesses and medical places. I also DO NOT "recruit" family and friends to join me.  We have an HR department for that. SO this is a false statement.

Secondly, we get to choose how we are paid...salary or performance. Nothing is allllll commission.  Reps DO make money. I made $60,000 in my first year with no experience in sales at all.  Advancing in the company is not a lie to get people in. Companies that grow like we are DO have advancement opportunities. I've moved into many different roles here.

Regarding social media and website......with the new decade we were excited to revamp our branding with the social media team. The team was just excited about 2020. Enough said.

The organization DOES work with 18 plus clients, and that number keeps growing because of the results we get, the professionalism, and our values. Anyone who works here sees that firsthand.

I researched all those companies you listed. They are different kinds of companies and brokers-- with different missions, values, clients, and customers. They are not all one in the same. Also false info.

One statement IS true. We DO NOT work "FOR" Quill. They are a CLIENT. We DO work closely with them to help their current customers, acquire new customers, AND maintain relationships with customers (again BUSINESSES, not our "random" friends ) They are one client and our sales teams ARE their representatives.

I am glad we can clear up false information on sites. Thank you to the administrators of this site for that! This company has been great for me. I'm grateful to have found it.
