Disclosure: I am posting this on behalf of my sexy yet persistently traumatized girlfriend who endured the following travesty at the maladapted hands of Dr. Rapaport: Beware of Dr. Rapaport! He performed liposuction on my stomach that I feel ruined my body. The results of the liposuction left my skin looking unnaturally tight with obviously unnatural-looking indentations and uneven bands of flesh across my mid-section. Apparently the liposuction was far too aggressive, leaving my stomach looking gouged out and puckered. At no time before I underwent the liposuction surgery was I informed by Dr. Rapaport or anyone in his office that such hideous results were possible. In addition, after the liposuction surgery, I experienced intense nausea for a week and could barely get out of bed. I’ve never experienced this kind of pervasive nausea following any other medical ailment or procedure. Dr. Rapaport ensured me that the skin on my stomach would, “even out with time”. After several months passed with no change in my condition/appearance, Dr. Rapaport finally acknowledged the obviously poor results of his efforts. He had the audacity to recommend that I wear one piece swimsuits going forward. Since the initial liposuction surgery, I have consulted with other plastic surgeons, and, each was appalled at the sight of Dr. Rapaport’s work on my stomach. I have undergone 3 revision surgeries and several other procedures in my efforts to correct/minimize Dr. Rapaport’s abominable surgical work. Surely one can imagine the thousands upon thousands of dollars spent throughout this exhausting medical saga. Sadly, little can be done to correct such situations as liposuction is generally permanent. My stomach looks awful and a bit grotesque, and frankly I feel disfigured. It is only my shame that prevents me from posting photos of Dr. Rapaport’s malpractice. With so many capable and renowned plastic surgeons in New York City, it is imperative you stay away from this one.
