"Doctor” Jeremy Tewell used his professional academic appearance to rip off watch dealer(s) and Coin Dealers. I’ve seen a lot of scams, never one like this. Jeremy used his professional appearance to lend credibility to himself. In our interaction with him, he attempted to sell a Rolex to us. We agreed on terms, and pricing. We did a few due dillegeance checks (i.e. email from his official Oklahoma State University email address, communication via his profressional twitter, and via telephone) The guy appears anove board — until it came time to ship us the watch. We always provide a shipping label; and they ALWAYS work. Jeremy Tewell claims to have tried to send the package using our UPS labels twice; to no avail. So he claims he shipped it using his own shipping label ….but never follows through with tracking info. (Who ships a $10K Rolex with no tracking?) Then he ghosts us. Never shipped anything. We’re out a deposit for the watch, he probably didn’t own in the first place…40 year old guys who live with their mom in a rented duplex don’t wear Rolexes….but alas we figured this out after the fact. I’m sure Dr. Jeremy J. Tewell will claim he has nothing to do with this, and its a scam or someone is making this story up. But lets look at the info we have. • Cell phone communications via text and the phone is registered to a Jeremy Tewell through AT&T. The address of record matches his confirmed residence. • Collegiate email communications between him and us…verifying his email at OK State. • A Twitter account follow back (and confirmed via dms) • Long, detailed chat logs from his official facebook presence (nearly 20 year old acct) • Bank account (provided for payment) in his mothers name Jean Tewell (or maybe he is a Jean too) None of the five points above happen when someone is pretending to be someone they aren’t.
