This company is a big rip off. They sent postcards to homes offering a free lunch at an upscale restaurant in the Villages, Florida. The seminar was given on 7-2-24 by their representative, Jon Davidson, who claimed to be a retired economics professor.  I took detailed notes of what he claimed. This company installs roof insulation, attic fans, and air purifiers.  According to Mr. Davidson, the roof insulation would have a 40% savings in energy costs, with an average savings of $60 - $120 per month. This was a big lie. My savings was about $20 per month. Then he claimed there was a tax credit of 30%. That was another lie. They charged me $16,000, and 30% of that would have been $4,800.  I only got a $1,200 tax credit, which is the maximum the IRS allows, not matter how much you paid.

Now for their business practices. They sent an estimator to my home, a man named Chaz.  He went up to the roof, came down and said the charge for the attic insulation and 2 roof fans would be $19,000.  I signed an initial agreement, which I had the right to cancel within 3 days. There was no payment details or bank interest information on this form.  The next day I called Chaz to cancel, telling him I felt it was way too much money.  Now it became let's make a deal, with him calling the owner Omari Belt to negotiate.  It was like being at a car dealership, and we all know how they operate.  He called me back offering me $16,000.  I still said no.  Then he called me back to include a free 4 or 5 night cruise for 2 people, something which Chaz said he has never done.  So I accepted this.  Chaz said he would send his workers the next day and he would do a contract with me.  I assumed he would do the contract with me before any work started.  The next day the workers came, and wanted to start working.  I asked where Chaz was and they said he was coming later.  My mistake to let them start working before a proper contract was done. I called Chaz 3 times that day, and he didn't answer.  The workers didn't finish until the next day.  Chaz didn't arrive until the next day AFTER all the work was completed.  Then he tries to get me to sign a contract to finance the $16,000 with a high interest rate of about 10%.  I refused to pay such an interest rate, which I never agreed to.  Now starts the lets make a deal nonsense, with him going outside to call his boss.  He comes back to tell me that either I pay him all the money upfront, or I have to take a loan and pay the interest.  I refused and told him to get out of my house, and that I'll see him in court.  Now he looks at me like he's in trouble, and asks me why I am doing this to him.  I told him he had no business sending his workers in before a proper contract was done.  But this was done purposely, to get me to agree to anything he put in front of me to sign.  I should have never trusted him or this company.  At one point, he comes back and says that if I don't do the financing with the interest, he will send his workers back to remove the insulation.  They also cut 2 large holes in my roof to install roof fans. I told him his workers are not setting foot in my house ever again. I asked him how they would remove 2 large roof fans.  He said they would patch it up. I said no way.

Finally, after many outside calls to his boss Omari, I agreed to give him a check for $8,000, and to finance the other $8,000 with zero interest.  Now he tells me that everyone pays interest on a loan, which is another lie.  Many companies offer zero percent financing.  I have a guy half my age telling me this.  He took the check, went outside, called Omari, and he comes back in, telling me that he would not accept the check.  I told him he could tear it up and I'll see him or Omari in court.  Now Omari calls me and tells me he will handle the matter personally.  Then Chaz called his bank, and I agreed by phone to the $8,000 financing at zero interest.  Then Chaz left with my check.  I was all prepared to take this company to court.

In retrospect, I was a sucker for them, first, by not going online to check reviews of this product or the company.  I did not check the IRS website to verify the tax credits, which you can find on many websites.  I  believed the seminar's speech that I was getting a 30% tax credit, which I thought was a lot, but the IRS maximum was only $1,200, which he failed to disclose.  And this man was an economics teacher.  So I got back $1,200 on a $16,000 bill, which has been saving me about $20 a month.  Now that's a big rip off.  And the free cruise ?  I have to pay the port charges and taxes, which for 2 people is hundreds of dollars. Hardly a " free cruise."

So don't do any business with this company. What they installed for me was not worth more than $1,000.
