Elk Creek Builders Elk Creek Trailers Failure of contract, poor quality product, legal fees incurred Overgaard Arizona

Buyer beware. They claim to know how to build hand wash trailers for US forest service/ CAL Fire, but they don’t do it very well even to standard plumbing standards. Build quality is sub par. Promised time of build was 4 months past initial promised date. Communication was terrible once down payment made and initial completion date was missed. Only after retaining an attorney did they complete their part of the contract.

Once trailers were completed, they demanded immediate final payment thru a wire transfer prior to pickup and verification of our actual trailers and threatened storage fees that weren’t disclosed at time of agreement to start build ($500/ day per unit.) Build of trailers are sloppy to include all faucets plumbed backwards, backflow preventer is plumbed backwards ( prevents water fill to main tank), two separate waste water discharge with only one bladder bag and only one waste water hose ( there should be only one main discharge wyed together), sinks screwed in through the top of counter with visible screws showing, and countertop leading edge caulked to cover exposed pressed board edge ( extremely poor fit/ finish, water will penetrate) and trailer tongue jack is to short to lift trailer hitch to proper ride height to hitch trailer to tow vehicle.

After much frustration and lose of time on our part, we took delivery 4 hours after we showed proof of wire transfer. For the money paid, we got less than expected from these self proclaimed professionals in hand wash trailer builders. These are at best DIYer in build quality. Build yourself or keep searching before you decide to do business with this company. Wish we would have built these ourselves.
