I started with Embrant LLC in March and worked as a warehouse manager for one month of probation so-called.  I was promised to get paid with a paper check on April 10th. I never got paid and no one answered my calls or emails. I received packages from different areas and they provided the Shipping label through FedEx, prepaid.

It was like drop shipping.  Now as of today, I went to call again for the last time, but there was only a voicemail. and the CRM software is taken down as well as the website.

I was pranked and I am out of one month's pay. I am a self supporter and now I have to find a way for getting through with my bills without being put out.  Please make sure when starting an online business to check into the company and call the number on the website to confirm you are hired. Never accept a paper check.

Take pictures of the website, call HR, and make sure you speak with a person when being onboarded. Take pictures of times and CRM.

Helping scammers

AUTHOR: Flint - (Afghanistan)

POSTED: Saturday, May 06, 2023

If someone offers you a work from home job that involves forwarding packages or dealing with payments, you can be 100% sure it is a scam. In this case, you were probably helping foreign criminals launder the proceeds of credit card fraud, or possibly something even more serious (such as violating US export control laws). For your sake, I sure hope it's not the latter, because that could be punishable by decades of prison time. Be careful. No legitimate company would ever use a temporary employee's home as a location to receive business packages or to warehouse anything. The process also makes absolutely no sense -- why would you not just ship the package to the correct address in the first place? The only reason to ship things in such a way is to muddy the waters and make fraud harder to detect. Don't be surprised if the cops pay you a visit in a short little while. And don't fall for any more scams (such as people impersonating federal agencies on the phone). Oh, and its really not hard for scammers to impersonate HR, send official looking paperwork, etc. Use common sense. If someone offers you a bunch of money to do easy work from home (that anyone could do), it's probably a scam.
