On June 8, 2021 I signed paperwork to start the process of getting solar panels on my home with Empire Solar Group. Part of the deal was I could get free insulation in my attic. I was told by the company I would get a rebate through my local energy company and then the sales person came back and said no due to the amount of time that had passed, when the delay was on the company's end, not mine.
In September I received notification from another company, LGCY Power, advising Empire was going bankrupt and would not longer be in business. I was never informed by Empire so I thought it was a scam. I was finally contacted by Empire in October by the person who originally signed me up. I expressed my concerns with not wanting to proceed due to the amount of time it's taken and loss of confidence.
A different company is now trying to charge me almost $4000 for the insulation with falsified paperwork that I didn't even sign. It seems like it's a flat rate and not even based off the actual square footage of my attic. Also that price is way higher than the average of $1700-2100.
