this firm then ask me to chose the amount that wanted to i chose 200,000.00 cash dollars. they then told me to send them 20,500.00 dollars and then in 24 hours there would be someone show up at my home with 200,000.00 cash dollars.  Mean while this Gary Shumaker keeps sending me tezt on messager asking me all these questions.

i was getting this funny feeling when i ask him to call me, he then said he was tired but could continue texting me to answer my questions. Something told me something was not right. I kept this information on my phone. i told them ifelt this was a scam, they replied is was legit and sent me a web page http://allocationrefund8.webnode.com/ with a lady recieving a check from another lady. I have not hear from Gary or the grant.

Of course it is a scam

If you have to pay any fee, for any reason, before you receive a check for "winning" or earning funds, then it's a scam. Don't send this person any money. If you do, you will never see the funds again AND it is very likely they will continue to contact you to send more money for different reasons.

You will also end up on a suckers list of people that fell for that scam. That list is sold from one scammer to the next so you will get inundated with more chances to lose your money. Stay safe. Keep your funds to yourself.

So is it safe to assume....

...that you went ahead and sent $20,000 to a total stranger who cold-called you and offered you a $200,000 grant (in "cash dollars," delivered to your home no less!) and, to show they were "legit," sent you a link to a .com (not .gov) website?  Is it safe to assume that in spite of your reasonable skepticism you just went ahead and did that, since you're telling us you never got the grant?

Because you couldn't spend thirty seconds researching "Grant Scams" on the internet?
