I've been in the equipment leasing/finance business since 1984, and I never wrote a negative review on another leasing company, but today that changes. Fernwood Capital & Leasing LLC (FERNWOOD), 1990 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island, NY owned by husband and wife team, Jon Albertsson and Laurie Albertsson is the exception. In my opinion,  FERNWOOD is the most unethical, dishonest, finance company I ever had the displeasure of knowing.----Minus 10 stars

  I was stricken with cancer approximately nine (9) months ago, and am still going through the side effects of treatment so I decided to retire form the business. A friend of mine, MIke F. was involved with FERNWOOD so I decided to pass the transaction along to him. I sent an e-mail to both Mike, and Jon Albertsson explaining my situation. I also e-mailed the complete package to Mike and copied Jon Albertsson, and suggested where to submit the transaction. Jon Albertsson did as suggested and recieved an approval.

I recieved an e-mail from Jon Albertsson (he refused to copy Mike --REDFLAG--) that the Lessee would recieve documents via e-mail. After waiting several days, and the Lessee waiting for documents, Jon Albertsson told Mike the company that approved the deal can not accept sub-brokered applications ---A TOTAL LIE--HE WAS TRYING TO CUT MIKE OUT OF THE DEAL.    I immediately had the approval pulled, and informed members of the lease advisory board about  Jon Albertsson's unethical, dishonest actions. I suggest all stay away from FERNWOOD, and owners Jon Albertsson and Laurie Albertsson .

 I also recommend to use leasingnews.org, and run a search for funders. If you were cheated by FERNWOOD, you may also file a complaint with leasingnews.org. FERNWOOD, and owners Jon Albertsson and Laurie Albertsson are not to be trusted, in my opinion.
