I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and profound distress concerning a recent incident with your customer service that compounded an already dire situation involving bank fraud.

On 11/29/23, I urgently contacted your customer service line to report an instance of bank fraud that had occurred, necessitating immediate action on your bank's part. The gravity of my situation was underscored by the urgent need for cash to address the fallout from this fraudulent activity, which was not of my own doing.

To my absolute dismay and disbelief, I found myself subjected to an interminable two-hour wait on hold. Throughout this ordeal, I was shuffled between multiple agents, only to have each call abruptly disconnected, leaving me in a state of panic and vulnerability.

Given the sensitive nature of my inquiry involving bank fraud, I expected a swift and responsive intervention from First Republic. Unfortunately, the level of service I experienced fell egregiously short of any reasonable expectation. The combination of protracted hold times and multiple disconnections has not only exacerbated the stress and anxiety associated with being a victim of fraud but has also left me feeling abandoned and mistreated by the institution I trusted to safeguard my financial well-being.

I want to bring to your attention that, due to the severity of this matter and the inadequate response from your institution, I am compelled to escalate this complaint to my local congressmen and other relevant regulatory agencies. I believe it is essential for them to be aware of the difficulties customers face in obtaining timely assistance during critical situations.

I implore you to treat this matter with the utmost urgency and conduct a thorough investigation into the systemic issues that led to this abysmal lapse in customer service. Furthermore, I request immediate and concrete steps to rectify this situation, including the provision of necessary assistance to address the bank fraud issue and expedited access to the funds required to mitigate the impact of this criminal activity.

I expect a swift and comprehensive response outlining the measures your bank will undertake to address these critical concerns. Time is of the essence in rectifying this situation, and I trust that First Republic will take immediate action to restore my faith in the institution's commitment to customer well-being.

Sincerely,

Nathan Martoff
