Fortune Films LLC Andrew Murry Passing bad LLC check, probably money laundering Los Angeles California

I'm listed in the catalog for people working in the film industry in my state.  He contacted me through email asking me to do pre-production work for him.  He would send me $1200 as pay and the remaining money I was to pay for soundstage rental and camera rental.  He sent me a deal memo to sign with an offer of additional production work on his movie entitled, "Only in the Moonlight".  I would then receive additional funds totaling $1800.00 for five days of production work.  He also asked to meet me at his hotel when he arrived in town for the production, naming date, time, and hotel.

I signed the deal memo and sent it back and a check drawn on his Fortune Films, LLC arrived totaling $4,980.00 for my $1,200.00 and the rest for the rentals.  The additional $1,800.00 would be given to me when we met at the hotel.  He wanted proof that I deposited the check both through email and text.  Needless to say, my bank put a hold on the check as I had never done business with Murry before.  Murry was "upset" that a hold was put on but didn't say anything further.

The check was returned as there was "No such account" and the $228.57 my bank did not put a hold on and gave to me, was debited back to me through an overdraft.  Phone calls and emails have gone unanswered.  I'm filing a police report and pursuing him for fraud.
