Warning to all prospective employees for Guardian Service Industries, Inc. THEY ARE not guaranteeing employment opportunities. Full time treated like temp employee taking benefits and cutting hours to avoid paying benefits though employees should be asked to surrender benefits. You can work work work for a few months to suddenly be told you can't work for a few months. Companies looking to hire them with a focus on morals SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Guardian Service Industries, Inc. is privately owned, does not care for their employees even temp employees. Even if you take away benefits from temp employees please at least give them call out work or more work in the mean time. Please stop hiring people too frequently as it pushes out others too fast. I AM JUST TRYING TO DO AN HONEST JOB AND NOT ROB STEAL KILL ETC. that others out there are doing. I AM DOING MY BEST. You are hurting us. 

This is why there is suicide and shootouts all over the country. I am not like that but this is not good. IF they retaliate updates will be posted here. I am completely staying anonymous. Various posted numbers in response to bad reviews are disconnected which i think is a tactic to identify the complainants. 





It is easy to say apply to work elsewhere but every company, though not obligated, should take care of their employees. This company is lying about that. Prospective employees should stay away from Guardian Service Industries, Inc. as they are not that trustworthy.

 They retaliated in response to dar complaint ruled in their favor early march 2024. In response to a dhr complaint on their sister company, Guardian Service Industries, Sam Herzfeld, Jesse Berland, have decided to terminate some employees, one by asking someone to not send them work. Hilda Esperon has chosen to dodge a question and chosen to not even bother helping me get back to working with the company. I have for now since left the company but am willing to make it right and return to work on the weekends, for on-call work as i did apply for that.

Dispatch Manager Katia Torrealva, client Jackson Park The Jacx Tishman Speyer and Guardian Service Industries can terminate you without immediate notice. This is a notice to temps that work with them or choose to or even choose to reapply to them, they can terminate you with ease and without immediate notice. When i was sent him to await a phone call, they said i was timed out and they can check the call history for that call, maybe call recordings. 

Attachments directly prove how the client or Guardian Service Industries can request a lay off of an employee with ease.

Do not work with Nermina Djekovic a ABM Industries project manager in New York City in Hudson Yards Related Companies. She may just fire you for not following directions well enough when she can just ask for new employee without firing temporary staff over temporary issue on a temporary only part of the building where they should of hired someone instead of violating the union rules/policies. For this part of the building outside Blackrock side of 50 Hudson Yards they do not hire anyone for that side when they should have, so instead they send temporary workers, violating union rules in the process. I have to post here as firing may be just as permanent as these reviews.

Guardian Service Industries is discriminating on certain workers with what they have in their jog listings and postings as attached. I do not know if its the new dispatcher manager Katia Farge or katia torrelava or that of management including Samuel “Sandy” Herzfeld the CEO, Principal, Alan Bressler the COO, Principal, Allen Fredericks the cfo, Charles LoBosco the president, Joe Large the Executive Vice President, Aaron Froese the Controller/Senior Estimator, Matthew Bressler the Vice President, Window Maintenance & Lighting, Lyn Bressler the Vice President, and Jeffrey Logan the Vice President. 

They ask for "at least 1- 2 years in a service organization" and this weeds out mainly temps and people like me who may have for years struggling to get back in. Ironically i suggested something like this through Lillian to management in late 2021 with the intention to help experienced temps get in but seems my suggestion was taken out of context in order to make it hard for me. This is age discrimination as it becomes now harder for younger people who may be floating for years before they can even get in.     In total across many organization i have years and years of experience. Please change this as this really does weed me out and other temps who had good experience across many years working with detailed experience across commercial and residential. The bilingual part i am working on but this unfairly weeds out temps with experience, considering the part that asks for 1-2 years in a service organization. Please change that.    The company needs to tweak what I mentioned below in all current and future job postings anywhere in order to prevent potential conflicts of age descrimination from happening as this directly makes it hard for younger people and temps from even making it into the company.    I want management to understand something. And it’s t just about me but what temps go through and if you read the reviews across your company and other companies they all say the same thing.    I have 4 years of temping experience across many companies providing me with plenty of light and heavy duty cleaning responsibilities. I have been temping for years. This is typical amongst many temps. It typically can take years to get hired anywhere. I heard about this instance one time where a porter someone knew was a temp for 12 years until he got hired. Clients in general are picky but if I as provided with another chance to temp at guardian I will be more than greatful to keep doing that with this and other companies until one chooses to have me hired at one of their sites.    Please do make this tweak where it basically just requires the 1-2 years of experience including temp work across different companies, not just across one company. This weeds out most temps some of which are really top notch workers, in fact the best I know cause we tend to work harder. I understand not hiring temps without experience but hire them once in a while, as it will help improve the image of the company. Make the minor tweak I suggest as it helps make it easier for everyone.   All of that being said this is descriminant and makes it hard for some workers especially those already descriminated against by clients to the company which further makes it harder to be permanent anywhere as sometimes they do not like the appearance of color at a front desk, for example. They need to change these requirements with a minor tweak that says "1-2 years general cleaning experience" or anything similar which will help them.    They know who is making reviews and know who i am and are free to reach me anytime on an opportunity to make it right and take me back.

  If anyone gets laid off from guardian service industries, you have a right to unemployment income. Regardless of what company you apply for and get laid off from, you have a right to file for unemployment, regardless if 3 or 5 months, and no matter what the employer says. They can warn or threaten you but nothing will happen when you file for unemployment. If they retaliate, you must contact the department of labor.

Patricia Pazner and others there at their floors make it a big deal unecessarily. You have to wait or go to another floor and not add stress to the workers that work behind the scenes of making their place neat and readily available for business.

 Attention other temp employees and former or current and prospective clients of Guardian Service Industries. They are giving workers a hard time to come back into the company. Also no matter how vetted employees are in experience they tend to send workers with problems and may also due to lack of proper payroll processing at locations, may have workers coming back for missing checks or hours. To former or current and prospective clients: consider the risks as mentioned above before hiring Guardian Service Industries for your building service needs To other temp employees: They tend to usually have difficulty in payroll and sometimes adjusting to your needs and even possibly labeling you as picky or not reliable. There are plenty of better companies worth trying out in the areas and plenty with locations closer to home! I will update this when things change. To any employees reading this: stop being picky and reconsider every temp possible from within at least last few years. People do need work and this clearly has and will reflect poorly in company reviews until things change. The bresslers need to rethink this, and not sure why plenty of them are holding similar jobs with same last name within the company, an easy conflict of interest.

The reviews on other sites i can't remove until they give me chances again. They know who i am already. When i applied they are always not hiring me. I know this is on purpose. I know for sure temps keep coming in over time and even since then. Not good.

They always have nothing for me lately when applying! Calls and or messages to Katia Farge or Katia Torrealva are usually ignored with no communication to anything including if they are hiring or not, let us know either way! Workers need to know either way. Communication is key. Guardian Service Industries please do better. 

Lastly if people can't show up last second to work sites let them be. That is what hiring multiple temps are for, someone will eventually show up. Not every temp has the money to get a taxi ride last second but that is what paying higher entry level wages can fix rather than the reported $16 something an hour pay for temp porters. 

If anyone is monitoring this page please note all my suggestions and concerns and do not retaliate by telling specific users there is not work available while hiring additional temps even after. Consider creating a wait list that temps can ask to be added on to be called for. Some kind of organizing like this can work.

They appear to have a no-hire list. They also aparently have descrimination issues as well, despite good employees being sent to locations and issues still persist. They ignore all the new virtual applications sent in as well as calls and messages regarding getting hired back. Not good.

I may have made mistakes likely due to me not only being a bit dyslexic but other things too got in the way at the time. I meant no harm on Lillian Snelling and Guardian Service Industries in new york city. I mean no harm and am willing to start fresh with no issue. I followed the rules the way things got taught to me. And will continue to do so. So when i call in some months from now, i hope to post positive updates here and elsewhere and move forward.

I am gonna call the union and i am considering hiring lawyers who can look for other people that this may have happened too with Guardian Service Industries. 

FOR ANY LABOR UNION you pass 90 days you get a job even if you permanently float around. If you pay dues you are in a union automatically card or not. 

I have snapshots and proof of everything, along with witnesses. I have it all when needed. I have lawyers i can call easily. Guardian Service Industries does not know this.

Attaching proof to how Guardian Service Industries, Inc. tries cutting anyone and everyones hours to avoid providing healthcare even though i opted out of it. The nonsense of this is now true fairness for all employees especially new employees.

While that happens, the executives and higher ups at Guardian Service Industries, Inc. are able to save money for the company and get rewarded in bonuses for doing so. I wish i had good things to say about Guardian Service Industries, Inc. but other than that no matter the location they are cutting jobs to save money and this is terrible for me and even temp employees at Guardian Service Industries, Inc.

If good news comes i will update it. I am not the only one facing this issue at Guardian Service Industries, Inc.
