What they did to me:

Hamilton & Co, specifically Jordan Kinghorn, engaged in unethical and deceptive practices that severely impacted my financial and personal well-being. Here are the details:

Failure to Act: Despite paying Hamilton & Co close to $20,000, including $7,500 last week, they failed to promptly file crucial legal documents. These documents included a Notice of Application, Affidavit, and Notice of Civil Claim (NOCC) related to significant real estate litigation. Their inaction exacerbated my financial situation and jeopardized a critical financing arrangement of $160,000.

Excessive Overbilling: The firm consistently charged excessively for basic tasks. For instance, they billed $500 to read a two-paragraph email and consistently overcharged for phone calls and email reviews, with fees often exceeding twice the actual time spent. I have been charged thousands for work they were not retained for, personally billing me for corporate matters they had no authorization to handle.

Deceptive Practices: Jordan Kinghorn misled me about the progress of my case, claiming work was being done when it was not. He promised immediate action upon payment, which did not happen, and provided false assurances regarding the removal of a fraudulent Certificate of Pending Litigation (CPL) on my property.

Health and Stress: This misconduct occurred while I was recovering from surgery for a broken hip, significantly worsening my stress and health. Despite my precarious situation, they continued to stall and complicate matters.

Mismanagement and Neglect: Hamilton & Co’s neglect led to missed payments and strained relationships with my lenders and brokers, causing further financial harm. They ignored my instructions and failed to act in my best interest.

Widespread Misconduct: A review of Google Maps revealed dozens of similar complaints from other clients, indicating a pattern of unethical behavior and professional misconduct by Hamilton & Co.

I am now seeking a fee assessment and have filed a complaint with the Law Society. I urge others to avoid Hamilton & Co to prevent experiencing similar distress and financial harm.

Ripoff Report: Hamilton & Co, particularly Jordan Kinghorn, engage in deceptive practices, overbilling, and professional misconduct, causing significant financial harm and stress to clients. Avoid this firm at all costs.
