We had a contractor convert our deck into a sunroom. The contractor sub-contracted the electrical work to Happy Home.
A guy from Happy Home came to our house to evaluate the job. He was very helpful, and provided details on how they would run the cable, and he confirmed a new breaker would be installed in the breaker box in our home. The estimate for this service was over $1,300.
Without my knowledge, another guy from Happy Home shows up shortly thereafter and runs the line to the breaker box located outside our home, where the main line comes into the house. There was no room in this box for a new breaker. Somehow, he re-wired our HVAC to make room for the new breaker.
Long story short, the HVAC breaker died the day Happy Home performed this work, power usage went through the roof, and, upon learning this, I called Happy Home. Happy Home insisted the HVAC breaker going bad the day they rewired it was merely a coincidence. They performed no work on the bad breaker during this follow-up visit, but still charged me $85.95 for a service call, then proceeded to try to upsell me on a monthly subscription service for HVAC maintenance.
Having completely lost confidence in Happy Home, I contacted our regular HVAC vendor, who immediately identified the problem with the wiring. He restored the wiring as it had been before Happy Home did their "work" and replaced the bad breaker. I had to use the failover generator breaker for the sun room power.
I still need to have the power to the sunroom re-routed so it is going to the breaker box in the house, as Happy Home told me they were going to do originally.
When I documented this to Happy Home, they offered to again come to the house and explain what they had done. This had already been done and I am not going to pay another service charge to this company.
I have no confidence whatsoever in Happy Home, would not recommend their services under any circumstances, and wish I had never heard of them.
