Called AAA for a tow to my mechanic 10 minutes away. Hawk's Towing of Glenview (IL) shows up with flatbed. Driver said he'd handle the problem so I could drive car to mechanic myself. I told him I hired a tow through AAA and had a mechanic, so I wanted a tow.
Instead, the driver started ripping parts off car. Jammed screwdriver into car to rip off parts. Parts, screws and fasteners flew everywhere. Refused direct instruction not to touch my car. Driver claimed towing was at his discretion.
Owner refuses to take accountability. After incident, owner calls me on my cell and asked me to give 5-star rating for their service.
