Hi, I have rented via this web site a car with Dollar from Toronto Pearson airport from May 15 till June 15. They offered free cancellation up to 48 hours before the rental date. 

On May 14 I did not board the flight. So I would not be able to use the reservation from the first date. My husband tried to change my reservation o to get a refund (he did not know about terms and conditions). By mistake he cancelled it.

When he contacted customer service they refused to change the reservation or give a refund (they did not check his identity, contacted them on my behalf without my permission).

When I found it out, in about an hour I contacted them and asked to recover my reservation. It was made for a month and there is no logic behind to cancel it with no refund.

The car may still be used by me later during the month. The customer service were really rude. They said that it is impossible to recover. Their system does not let them to do it... So I was left with no reservation and no money without committing any action....

I would like to know if it is possible to file a claim.

 You stated you rented a car from Dollar thru this website you're complaining about. Since YOU KNEW the rental car company, WHY IN THE WORLD DIDN'T YOU CALL THEM DIRECTLY??? Why in tarnation did you involve this third party when NOTHING has changed in the reservations business...YOU CALL THE PROVIDER DIRECTLY! You don't need ANY of these third party slime balls for ANY reservation. They cater to the inexperienced traveler and the LIE TO YOU when they say they have "special arrangements" to get it cheaper! Its a sales pitch for suckers! They can't wait for something to go wrong so they can keep the refund of YOUR MONEY! They have even been known to make deliberate "mistakes" so you will cancel and they keep your money! You never ever, ever, ever, ever need to use ANY of this third party trash to make reservations. YOU DO IT YOURSELF JUST LIKE ALWAYS!
