I applied for a position with The Roosevelt Hotel in 2017. They just contacted me last week, the second week of February 2020. I went in for an interview. I interviewed with Brenda Reynoso who made me hopeful for a second interview.
As I left the interview, Brenda said I would have a second interview with the manager. I received an email from Brenda stating that they had moved on and offered the job to someone else. Hollywood hotels discriminate against people of color. I have written a story about this titled, Hotel Life, which is on Amazon and Audible.

There are no guaranteed interviews and no guaranteed jobs. I was just at the Hollywood Roosevelt and the hotel is full of employees of color. In fact, from what I could see, the majority of employees are people of color.
Combined with your other complaints, I would say your family is right and you should be confined to a mental facility, for an extended period.
