Home Report Store AKA Online House Report Bait and Switch. Reeled me in with an offer for a $1.00 report. Charged me $1.00 plus an additional $18.95 never authorized. Mandeville Louisiana

We were looking to find a service to give us the value of our home. We found onlinehouse report aka home report store which advertised a one time charge of just $1.00 to access our report. We submitted our credit card info and accessed our home report.

A few days later while reviewing online credit card purchases, we noticed the $1.00 fee as coming from onlinehousereport.com. So far so good. Then perusing further we noticed an $18.50 fee as coming from homereportstore.com. NO good.

I immediately called the number given by my credit card company for this corporation. The receptionist gave me no time to complain but curtly cut me off, insisting that I had authorized an additional $18.50 in charges when accessing the $1.00 report. She insisted that the webpage clearly spelled out such an agreement.

I then went to the webpage and searched every word with a fine tooth comb. NOWHERE on any of their pages was there any term of service mandating an additional charge of $18.50.

This corporation is in direct violation of fair credit billing act and are being reported immediately to the BBB.
