I am writing to warn others about the fraudulent practices of David Rozenstein, who operates under multiple business aliases, including Commercial Remodeling Contractors, Houston Remodeling Contractors Inc., and Sky Bridge Contractors.

On September 21, 2024, I signed a remodeling contract with Commercial Remodeling Contractors for work at my property in Richmond, Texas. Mr. Rozenstein personally visited my property multiple times with project managers to build trust and finalize the agreement. Based on these discussions, I made the following payments:

  1. $200 via Zelle on the same day for design services.
  2. $12,300 via wire transfer on November 5, 2024, as a deposit to start the work.

After these payments, Mr. Rozenstein completely failed to deliver on the contract. Despite multiple attempts to get a project start date, he repeatedly delayed with vague excuses. No materials were delivered, and no work was started.

When I contacted the police on November 26, 2024, Mr. Rozenstein admitted (in a recorded call with Officer M. J. Moreno of the Fort Bend County Police) that he was canceling the project due to increased costs and promised to issue a refund. He sent a refund check (#5855) on December 3, 2024, under Houston Remodeling Contractors Inc., which was not the original contracted company. The check bounced due to insufficient funds on December 6, 2024.

Further investigation revealed:

  • Mr. Rozenstein operates under multiple aliases and DBAs to mislead clients.
  • He misuses the name of a legitimate company, Houston Remodeling Contractors, located at 2514 Vaughn St, Houston, TX, to gain credibility.
  • His website, commercialremodelingcontractors.com, is inactive, further raising red flags about his business legitimacy.

Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the issue amicably, Mr. Rozenstein failed to deliver on his promises. I have filed both civil and criminal cases against him. His actions represent a clear pattern of fraud, breach of contract, and dishonesty.
