I went to the Orland Park mall to shop at a specific store and as I was walking to my destination, I was stopped by a salesperson to try an eye product. I believe that I was targeted because of my age. I was then pressured into purchasing a Perfectio X on 06/10/2022. I attempted to return it to the store, Introstem (Organicbeautysuppliesinc) in Orland Park on 06/11/2022. However, the store was closed. I attempted to return the product on 06/12/2022 and I was told by the store owner that he needed to contact "customer service" before they could make a decision on accepting the return. The form that I completed gave the customer service number as 773-900-4495 which is the same as the phone number for the store so I am a bit perplexed. I am quite sure that the store owner can make a judgment regarding returns. I also contacted Zero Gravity and was told that I have to return to the store.
During the course of my visit, the salesperson asked me if I could keep a secret. The secret was that he was giving me a discount on the Perfectio X. He repeatedly asked me if I could keep a secret and made me promise that I would not tell my friends about the discount he was giving to me. He also said that the product had a lifetime warranty which I still have not seen. He used a small tablet to digitally create a receipt that I signed and was sent to me via email after he took my money. I did not see that receipt until I got home. Additionally, he put a receipt in my bag that I did not see until I got home.
The owner of this store told me that they have a no refund policy only which was not explained to me at the time of purchase. The receipt states "refunds exchanges only within 14 days". There is no comma after refunds which makes this statement unclear. I do not understand why the salesperson can give a secret discount but the store owner cannot decide to give me a refund.
Additionally, when a customer is making a purchase of this amount ($5,400.00), the salesperson should be honest and forthright regarding the return policy. As well. I did not open the product. The product was opened by the saleslady, Adva, while I was in the store. I did not use the product.
I am contacting you for assistance. I do not want the product. I would like a refund from this store. I am not sure if you can assist with this but I am very unhappy and I would appreciate your assistance in this matter.
