A & J Appliance Repair Service Don't get taken by this company Port St Lucie Florida

The Frigidaire refrigerator in our Fort Pierce rental condo began making loud noise at 4am on Sunday November 15, 2020. The tenant stated that it smelled like it was burning. The tenant was worried all of their food would spoil.  I called A&J later that morning and left a message. They called back in a couple of hours, said they would send someone, and asked for my credit card information and the tenants phone number. They said the service charge of $89 would be charged, and if we used them to repair the issue, the service charge would be applied to the repair.

They called the tenant and told them they would be there at 2:30pm the following day! When they arrived, the technician plugged in the fridge and said it was operating properly with no noise. He asked the tenant to video the noise if it happened again and send it to him. They did so the following morning November 17, 2020. The technician did not respond, and my tenant called me. I called the technician and he said it was the defrost, and would send me an estimate for the repair...but he did not. On Friday November 20, 2020 I sent him a text that I never received anything and was very disappointed in their service. Time is of the essence when a fridge is failing, and they are awful.

He wrote that he was sorry and he was busy, and would send it in a "few". But he never did! I believe they only wanted to collect the service fee for his 10-15 minute initial visit, as it is very profitable to do so.
