Please do not believe the lies on this company’s website, which advertises itself as 4.8-star rated and displays Google’s, HomeAdvisor’s, and the Better Business Bureau’s (BBB’s) logos. I could find no evidence of the company's Google 4.8-star Google. Far from being a BBB A+ rated accredited company, it is listed on BBB’s site as an unaccredited company with a D+ rating. I also found several customer complaints describing unfortunate issues like those my neighbors and I are experiencing.

In 2021, my neighbors and I entered into written agreements with Javier Rodriguez, President of Hurricane Windows & Doors of Florida. We each provided an $8,000 deposit to secure his services in replacing our condominium sliding doors. During the last two years, he had given us endless excuses for delaying our projects while improperly retaining our $8,000 deposits and ignoring countless emails, texts, and calls.

I was forced to engage an attorney and issue a demand letter to which he did not respond, forcing me to report the company to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation and several other agencies, which I hope will protect other Floridians from falling prey to this company’s unscrupulous business practices.

Don’t be misled by Mr. Javier Rodriguez’s dishonest responses to customer complaints. Our building’s concrete restoration project did not delay his work – he was supposed to complete our projects before the concrete restoration occurred. Even after I received engineering clearance and the building's concrete project was completed, Mr. Javier Rodriguez has failed to perform the services he is contractually obligated to execute yet retains my $8,000 deposit improperly.

Many of my neighbors are vulnerable senior citizens with disabilities, limited funds, and diminished ability to withstand the liens, fines, property damage, physical injury, and emotional distress that could result from his unethical conduct.

The prices for contruction, materials and labor has dramatically increased over the past 2 years so the cost to hire another contractor to do the same job has now absolutely skyrocked.

I hope for the sake of all Floridians that our state agencies will send Mr. Javier Rodriguez a powerful message letting him know that Florida will not tolerate the exploitation of Floridians, especially Florida's senior citizens.
