Jay Headen Deception, Fraud New York New York

Jay was hired by our company as a independent contractor in August 2023 to sell advertising space.  This was a work from home position mostly cold calling and face to face meetings.  This position required a minium of 200 contacts a week both cold calling and following up on new prospects. Jay would email his pipline of advertisers he had been talking with and would have conversatoins with his publisher on meetings and ongoing business. Jay would always say he had advertiser that were ready to sign but none never did. On or about October 10th Jay would claim a family member was ill and he had to go to Philly to be with them.  Jay had missed a total of 24 days in the 4 months he was working for us. 

Jay dissapeard for 3 weeks in December and claimed his father had passed away and abandoned any contact with us or the suppoed clients he was working with. As we don't know if the death story was true or not what we do know is after going through Jays emails we found he sent out a total of only 131 emails since contracted with us. He also uses a google number to mask his real number. Almost all but three contacts in his report pipline of customes he said he was in touch with were lies and made up. There were no emails to these contacts.  He did little than a weeks work and scammed our company out of thousands.   We are considering legal action for his deceptive practices and hope this post will stop others from falling for this scam.  We can only think our company was one victim of others he was doing this with.
