Ripoff Report Complaint - Jeff Schmitt Nissan
Title:
Abused, Gaslit, Lied To, and Manipulated at Jeff Schmitt Nissan – Finance Manager Yelled, Ignored My Repeated “No,” Hid Paperwork, and Nissan Consumer Affairs Covered It Up
Complaint:
On July 9, 2025, I purchased what was represented as a brand-new vehicle from Jeff Schmitt Nissan in Beavercreek, Ohio. From the very beginning, the experience was riddled with deception, coercion, and abuse.
The car showed unusually high mileage for a brand-new vehicle, which I pointed out immediately. I asked, “Isn’t this mileage high for a new car?” and received no answer. To this day, no one from the dealership or Nissan has provided any explanation—despite my repeated questions.
When I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs North America on July 11, 2025, I was stonewalled. The representative repeated the phrase “It was an honest mistake” over and over again, as though saying it enough would erase the facts. He ignored my evidence, dismissed my concerns, and never addressed what happened to me at the dealership.
What they refused to acknowledge was the abusive and hostile treatment I experienced at the hands of Jeff Dixon, the dealership’s finance manager.
During financing, Jeff Dixon tried to aggressively push multiple expensive add-ons and warranties that I firmly and repeatedly said NO to—over a dozen times. It did not matter how many times I declined—he kept clicking boxes anyway. He said, “I want, I want, I want,” as if what he wanted somehow mattered more than my explicit refusal.
When I told him, “I don’t know you,” after he looked at me and said, “Look at my face—you know you can trust me, right?” he exploded. He became agitated, hostile, and verbally abusive. He screamed at me—with his door wide open—so loudly that others in the dealership could hear, yet no one intervened. His behavior was erratic and volatile, like a toddler in a tantrum, but with the physical presence and intensity of someone who could do real harm.
This wasn’t just sales pressure—it was intimidation.
Even worse, he lied about the documentation. He told me that everything I signed—both from him and from Cameron Beam (the salesperson)—would be included on a flash drive. When I got home, I discovered only 10–12 duplicate files of the same document, and at least 10 blank, empty pages. I wasn’t even given a quarter of what I signed. That’s not a mistake—that’s intentional concealment.
When I tried to go through proper channels and filed a complaint with Nissan Consumer Affairs, I was again brushed aside. But here’s the final insult: Jeff Dixon called me afterward and said, “If it will give you peace, come into my office and I’ll give you a full tank of gas. Hopefully that will bring you peace.”
Let that sink in.
A full tank of gas was offered as an apology for verbal assault, manipulation, deception, and withheld documents.
I want it clearly stated:
- This was not a misunderstanding.
- This was abuse, coercion, and fraud.
- I am not “emotional.” I am right, and I am done being silent.
I do not want anything from Jeff Schmitt Nissan or Nissan Consumer Affairs. I do not want a response. I want the public to know exactly what kind of treatment I received and what kind of people they are doing business with.
This is my final word.
You don’t get to gaslight me into silence.
This is your receipt.
I’m not confused. I know exactly what happened. And now so do you.
I don’t want a call. I don’t want an apology. I want this on record.
You don’t get to rewrite the facts.
This is the truth. This is the line. This is your receipt.
