I am done with Jenkins of Homosassa.  I will go out of state for service before I go back to Jenkins Jeep of Homosassa, Florida.

On 11.20.2024 when checking out after service, I was advised by Shane Tofthagen there is a "3% penalty" for using a credit card.  I was informed moments before speaking to the cashier by Shane Tofthagen, my service advisor of this “penalty.”  He said, "everyone is doing it” when I questioned it.  That is NOT a true statement by him.  First of all, I do not care about anyone else and their policies.  There is NO signage that states I get penalized for using a credit card.

This penalty that Jenkens Jeep imposes is outrageous, regardless of the amount I had to surrender.  That is the cost of doing business.

After arriving home I noticed on the paperwork, there was nothing mentioned regarding the type of oil put in our 2016 Jeep Cherokee.  I sent an email to Tofthagen inquiring if Synthetic oil was used.  This was his reply in all caps in its entirety, : WE USED WHAT THE VEHICLE TAKES

That was not professional.  That attitude did it for me.  I am done with Jenkins, period.  NEVER will I patronize the business again.  I will express my disdain for Jenkins of Homosassa via Social media too.  Jenkins does not care, just wants the money.  I was just a number.

The General Manager (not listed on their website) will NEVER reply to emails, as I had sent inquiries to him in the past.  There is NO Service Manager listed on their website to contact, either.

Imagine if you spent thousands of dollars and then charged a percentage to use a credit card.

I have gone to this location since moving here in 2018 when it was Crystal Jeep. Last day today, 11.20.24

 William...All this was NON-WARRANTY work, right? How much have you checked out this place for HONESTY and INTEGRITY? Not much. Any dealer which adds FAKE FEES to the price of a car is declaring to the world HONESTY and INTEGRITY are most definitely NOT practiced there. What does this have to do with you? Very simply the legal concept of "Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus!" In other words, if any slime ball car dealer is lying to potential customers by adding FAKE FEES to the price of the car they are also declaring to the world THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. If you were to buy a car there, as per their own admission, they would be adding a FAKE FEE of $449 called "electronic filing fee ", another FAKE FEE called "orivate tag agency fee" for $199 and then still another FAKE FEE of $1199 for alleged "pre-delivery service". Their FAKE FEE CON-GAME goes like this: they represent the price of a car which is FALSE.Its purposely marked low to DECEIVE the public. They make up the difference with their FAKE FEES which they give official sounding FAKE names to further DECEIVE the public into thinking they are legitimate fees which they are not. This is why the Sleazy American Car Business has its septic tank reputation! This dealership with their FAKE FEE CON-GAME falls right in and it is PROOF POSITIVE of what type of people you are dealing with and they CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Why are you even going to a dealer for non-warranty work? Find and use a good independent shop (not a chain like Pep Boys). With a long established independent shop, you will find better prices and NO PRICE GOUGING; much better customer service and NO PRICE GOUGING and REAL and very skilled mechanics, not commissioned parts changers and did I say NO PRICE GOUGING? That so-called "service advisor" is a commissioned sales person. The more they can get from you, the bigger their commission. Remember....ANY dealer which adds FAKE FEES is telling you HONESTY and INTEGRITY are NOT in practice there. Find and use an independent shop and let these people crawl back into the slime ball car dealer septic tank from where they've come.
