John Gaudelli Jaag Associates LLC Texted me pretending to be a friend I know and requested money via Family and Friends on PayPal. PHOENIX AZ

I agreed to buy an item from my friend Jack on an online Forum. I agreed to send Jack $200 and I posted my cell number (bad mistake) so Jack could text me his PayPal address for payment. I got a text a short time later from (Ph:3464949748) saying this was Jack and I should send him the money at azjag64@yahoo.com . I immediately made payment of $200. I wrongly assumed this was my friend Jack's email address but when I went to pay it on PayPal it came up as John Gaudelli jgaudelli@outlook.com. I messaged the text number back and asked "Jack" why it came up as John Gaudelli on PayPal and he assured me he was using his son's PayPal. He also sent me an address to send the a Sportube to to ship my purchase in: Jack Alvarez 609 Dogwood Dr, Sunset Beach NC 28468. He said to I should use friends and family for the payment which is common to save our friends the fees so i did. I not only made the payment (but subsequently found that my friend Jack did not receive it) but I also shipped the Sportube to SC. I was able to get Fedex to return the Tube before it was delivered.

So after 25 years of doing transactions on the Internet I was finally scammed because I wasn't paying attention.

John Gaudelli is a PayPal client impersonating legitimate PayPal clients to scam other PayPal clients like me to steal our money. I emailed John Gaudelli and politely requested that he return the $200 else I would take action. He responded as below with a BS excuse asking for more time to return my money.

John Gaudelli was born on 10/1/1964. He appears to run a "consulting" business called Jaag associates llc.

My deepest apologies for what has happened here. I was helping a friend who needed immediate funds for a family emergency by receiving funds via my PayPal that were supposedly sent by "friends of her uncle". I sent the received funds immediately to this guy's niece with minimal information beyond the email for the senders.

Did not know that these funds were generated by fraudulent sales on that marketplace. I am scrambling now to get you and others paid back from this fraud, in addition to filing charges against the con artist who screwed all of us. Would ask you to give me a few days to get your $$$ returned.

You are scamming the wrong guy. I have some really bad news for you if you don’t return the money.

You have just two options.

1. Return the $200 you stole (using PayPal to reverse the transaction) and I will do nothing.

2. Ignore me and I will make your life a living hell and the $200 you got from me will be a heavy price to pay for the trouble I am about to cause you.

You have until 5:00pm this afternoon May 1st 2023 to return the money.
