I met this person on a dating site as Michael King. We talked for about a month. "Michael" reported on his profile that he was a firefighter and 6 ft tall. When I met him he appeared to be a lot shorter than what his profile said but I didn't think anything of it since manyt men lie about their height. We dated for several months. "Michael" said his parents died when he was young and was raised by his grandparents and had very little family, so I didn't meet anyone of his family or friends.

He said he had his own home, but when I asked to see his home he would always have an excuse. After many months of dating and meeting my family, he said he wanted to buy us a home. We began looking. Long story short, much of what he said didn't add up. One day I demanded to see ID and he refused to show me. I ended up looking through his car when he wasn't looking. He had a wallet with lots of credit cards, none of which matched his name.

I looked one of the names on Been Verified and found him by his birthdate and associations. The only thing he didn't lie about was his age. I found out he lied about where he lived. He didn't own his own home and lived with others. He made up elaborate lies about being a firefighter. He lied about his name. His name was actually Joshua Broom Hooker. His car wasn't in his name. When I confronted him, he denied denied denied, then after not speaking with him he finally sent me a picture of his ID. He lied that he had money for a down payment. He has a Venmo under Michael King and he has met other women under this alias.
