Joshua Gregory frank and his associate approached me in a gas station parking lot asking me if I was interested in a home theater system.  I told him that I was not in the market and he kept saying that he would make me a great deal on this brand-new equipment he had.  He said he was a wholesaler and had an extra Monarch 8K projector and 72-inch screen that he could sell me cheap that they had that was left over from a job they were doing at Buffalo Wild Wings. 

 He and his partner were both clean cut and looked the part.  He even has the fake invoice for buffalo wild wings he showed me to prove he was just leaving the job.  When I said no again, he showed me on amazon how the projector was going for $9K and the screen that was $4500. 

Then he said I will give you copy of my driver’s license, business license, and assured me it was legit.  He also offered to give me a receipt which he did.  Against my better judgement (and gut feeling), I offered to buy it thinking it would be a cool surprise for my young kids for their game room.  I realized right after I did it that it was a major mistake and tried to call him.  He immediately blocked my calls and texts confirming what I already knew.  The equipment is a cheap Chinese knockoff that is garbage quality.  This one hurt.  

I have never been scammed before and am generally not very trusting of strangers so I have been very depressed that I let my family and myself down by letting this happen.  In the grand scheme of life, it is a learning experience but I wanted to post on here so that others can learn from this and can hopefully avoid the emotional trauma I faced from it.
