I have witnessed Junkin Media is continually reporting accounts to Facebook for posting videos. People will send videos to Facebook page and that Facebook page owner or admin will post or repost the video at the person's request, not knowing that it is licensed by Junkin Media.

Junkin IMMEDIATLEY reports the video to Facebook for copyright infringement--INSTEAD of contacting the Facebook page owner first and asking them to either remove it or pay them for it. These Facebook page owners dont even know that the video is lisenced to Junkin, there is no watermark or anything that indicates it is licensed to Junkin.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY'S POOR DEALINGS--In my opionion they are wrongly reporting many Facebook pages to Facebook for infringement and these accounts are getting shut down. These Facebook owners have no idea that Junkin has the rights to these videos because other people are sharing them and asking for them to be posted.

There are many other people complaining about this very serious issue. Please help!!! Lets get Junkin to do what is right and contact people before reporting them and getting their accounts shut down!!!!!!  In my opinion, this is VERY BAD BUSINESS!!!

Asking people to pay fees for videos that they never knew were licensed to Junkin--they should have to have their name on it.

Your Opinion is Wrong

AUTHOR: Jim - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 19, 2019

In my opionion they are wrongly reporting many Facebook pages to Facebook for infringement and these accounts are getting shut down.  First, no one cares about your opinion.  Second, the reason the media company is going to Facebook is that the person who is unauthorized to repost the video is allowing Facebook to be an accomplice to copyright infringement.

If the media company goes to the individual to ask them to take it down, then there is no assurance the media company will get paid for the unauthorized posting of video, which then makes Facebook liable for the fee.  So Facebook goes after you as the person who stole their content and published it for free.

These Facebook owners have no idea that Junkin has the rights to these videos because other people are sharing them and asking for them to be posted.  So in other words you should probably be more careful about the videos you share.  It is irrelevant whether others are complaining.  This is a legal issue for which the media company is exercising its legal right to protect its content.  Just like Disney protects its images of Mickey, Donald, and all of the other Disney characters, this media company gets to protect its artistic creations.

Asking people to pay fees for videos that they never knew were licensed to Junkin--they should have to have their name on it.  Not required.

Using their content without paying for it makes you a thief.  This is a complaint for which no one should be sympathetic about.
