Shawntrel Knight and her company, Knight Team Management (KTM), represented me for certain social media services including management and securing brand deals dating back to February 2022. Since July 2023, Ms. Knight and her Knight Team Management associates have blatantly lied to me and stolen significant amounts of revenue that are contractually and rightfully mine.

As a macro-social media influencer, my career and primary source of income are tied to the content that I regularly create and distribute across my social media platforms on Facebook and YouTube. By engaging KTM to manage my social media activities in the ever-important early stages of my career, I entrusted them to guide and assist me in growing and refining my social media presence and, in the process, provided them with control over monetization and reporting on my social media accounts. 

In recent months, that trust has been grossly violated, starting with fraudulent acts evidently committed by KTM’s staff in late July 2023 (by Shawntrel Knight’s own admission), followed by assurances in late September 2023 that measures were being taken to correct resulting failures on their part to perform services and provide proper accountings and payments, and culminating in their ultimate disappearance and absconding with monies rightfully belonging to me.  Their vanishing act has not only left me without funds I am owed, but also without the ability to take control over my own social media accounts in order to stop the bleeding caused by their fraud, theft, and misappropriation.

KTM had previously promised to rectify the situation on multiple occasions but has failed or refused to follow through at each turn. In September 2023, I was informed by an assistant working for Ms. Knight that Ms. Knight would be taking six weeks off for the purpose of taking a "mental health break" and that she would resurface at the start of November 2023 and put things in order. Now it is January 2024 and there has been no contact and, even worse, both she and her staff have been completely unresponsive since that last notification in September. 

Most recently, on December 14th 2023, Shawntrel Knight’s assistant replied by email to an organization that I have an upcoming deal with on my behalf saying “Shawntrel Knight will be on leave until after the new year”. Still, she and her team remain unresponsive to me. Even though my business relationship with KTM has been terminated since September 2023, KTM continues to act as my representative in order to extort more funds from my ongoing partnerships, as well as other potential brands that I have no idea about. Meanwhile, they continue to retain sole control over some of my social media accounts and are not paying me any of the accumulating revenue – which includes payments as a result of brand deals with a major multi-national company and a not-for-profit organization for Down syndrome. This is entirely unprofessional and completely unacceptable, and outright criminal behavior.

KT Management has consistently lied to me, betrayed my trust, and engaged in criminal behavior for their own profit and gain. What’s even more morally reprehensible is that KT Management has completely and coldly taken advantage of and victimized my social media partner and younger brother, who has Down syndrome. He is incapable of understanding what has been transpiring and is unable to speak and advocate for himself.

There is simply no excuse whatsoever to perpetuate fraud and theft against me and my brother. KT Management has essentially gone dark for well over the past four months and has now forced my hand to initiate legal action against them. I advise anyone within the social media/digital media industry to steer clear away from Ms. Knight and Knight Team Management.
