Kory Thompson Stole money from elderly parents Aumsville Oregon

This saddens us to have to write this but we feel its necessary so others won't get scammed by Kory Thompson. We met Kory and her husband at church several months ago and thought we could trust her to do caretaking for our elderly parents. She seemed so trustworthy but evidently she is just a scammer. 

Kory showed a document supposedly was a license/certificate that she was qualified to do caretaking for people. My parents mean everything to us and so when we hired her to take care of our parents for $2400.00 a month we thought we were in good hands. It has been a nightmare dealing with her. She lies so much about everything. It started by her taking money from my parents and saying that is was needed as extra for the "extra" care she provided for supposedly going to the store and shopping. That was clue number one. My parents said they never asked her to shop for anything. When she used my parent's debit card to order on Amazon for a walker and extra bandages we questioned her about the products. She was not able to produce such products.

When we asked her to reimburse us for those times, she postponed over and over again. In the end we never got a dime back from her. Several months had past and we still didn't get anywhere with her. She actually threatened to file a lawsuit against us. But when we got a notarized statement signed buy our parents, Kory then went missing. She stopped taking our calls. We no longer see her in church anymore. 

Apparently, she has done this before. We spoke to others in the church and they said that they heard of her doing the exact same thing to other people. She uses the church as a facade. We pray that she gets help that she needs. Lucky for us our parents are doing bettert now that they are in a professional care faciilty.

People, please be aware of this liar, as she is not a qualified caretaker by any means. We also heard that she attends other churches.
