In May of 2018, we hired Kyle J. Lemcke of Lemcke Enterprises LLC to do contracting projects around our home. He was recommended by his wife, an acquaintance of my spouse at the time. At first, he was at our house long hours and seemed to be close to finishing the few projects we hired him to do. Because of this, we hired him to do a complete home renovation. After four months of attempting to complete our home renovation, Kyle J Lemcke was fired due to delays, failure to show for what we believed were normal working hours (6-8 hours a day), and confusing bids and invoices.

On the day Kyle J Lemcke was fired, he verbally stated he wished to work something out to pay us back for the incomplete projects. We never saw him in person again. We have text messages that show our attempts to contact him to settle the repayment and his little or no response. We enlisted the help from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to mediate and he only responded once to multiple reach outs.

We also contacted the Attorney General’s Office to help mediate and he had minimal to no response to them. While we were using these organizations for help, we had eight contractors (all but one was licensed in our city) come to our house and all stated, in their opinion, most of the projects done around the house were done incorrectly or unprofessionally.

We were advised by another contractor that the only way to get any retribution ourselves was to put him on the news since we had little to no communication from Kyle J Lemcke. The reporter found that Kyle J. Lemcke was not licensed in our city and he did electric work which he was not licensed to do. After the story aired, he said he would be willing to work something out with us through text message. This was Halloween 2018 and we have not heard from him since nor has paid us back for incomplete projects.
