I hired Lauren Sanford via Upwork to provide various administrative services for my company. Per Ms. Sanford's contract with Upwork, she was to login to a time tracker for all work hours billed to my account. She attempted to solicity prepayment via cash app, which should have been a huge red flag, but after I told her I refuse to violate my own agreement with Upwork to pay through the site, she commenced work, so I ignored my gut instinct.

After delivering low quality and low volume work, she attempted to "manually" bill (in Upwork parlance) for several hours for which she could not substantiate that she worked. The work she did produce probably took her no more than 4-6 hours, yet she attempted to bill for 40 hours.

When I refused to be extorted into paying for incomplete, error-prone work, she filed numerous slanderous and false reviews not only against me personally, but also against my company using the alias "Laur Ford". I would strongly advise against employing Lauren Sanford either as an employee or freelancer, since my own experience with her tells me she clearly lacks the work ethic and technical ability to deliver quality work, not to mention her lack of moral integrity.

She also mentioned that she owns a power washing company with her husband. I certainly wouldn't trust a "man" to control power tools who can't even control his woman and sends her out into the world to work and make money for another man, so also take that for what it is worth.
