Scam Alert Report: Liaison Development Group, LLC (Humble, Texas)
Reported By: Charlotte Jones
Date: May 5, 2025
Location: Richardson, TX
Business Name:
Liaison Development Group, LLC
Business Address:
107 First Street West -Suite #110
Humble, TX 77338
Nature of Scam:
Fraudulent Investment Scheme / Ponzi Scheme
Marketed as a “Private Economic Stimulus Program”
Details of the Scam:
Description:
The Private Economic Stimulus Program, operated by Liaison Development Group, LLC, falsely promises funding to small business applicants after collecting $1,875 for trust setup and administrative fees. Participants were required to attend 3 Business Workshops and create business plans for project approvals. Despite receiving an official project approval letter in February 2022 and submitting required documents, no funding has ever been issued. Multiple participants have reported similar experiences, suggesting a coordinated scam targeting aspiring entrepreneurs under the guise of economic empowerment. Lausuits have been filed against this company in Texas.
-
Initial Payment Request: Victims were asked to pay $1,875 as a “trust setup fee” to participate in this funding opportunity.
-
False Promises: After paying, participants received what was labeled as a “project approval letter” (e.g., dated February 11, 2022) stating they would receive business funding. However, no disbursement has ever been made.
-
Travel Expenses: Some victims, including myself, also incurred travel costs of up to $3,000 to attend meetings in cities like Dallas, Cincinnati, and Humble—all under the pretense of progressing their business funding.
-
No Deliverables: Despite submitting required paperwork, following up via email, and even receiving written confirmations that funds would be deposited (e.g., by November 21, 2024), no payments have been issued.
-
Avoidance Tactics: The group has ignored emails and texts, given misleading reassurances over the phone, and continues to contact victims verbally but refuses to document commitments in writing.
-
Pattern of Exploitation: Each event included 30–40 predominantly Black entrepreneurs, who all paid into the program and were often solicited to invest further in unrelated, dubious business ventures promoted by the organizer.
-
No Legal Agreements: Victims were not provided clear, binding contracts or refund terms and are now being denied reimbursement, even when withdrawal requests were submitted months ago.
