★☆☆☆☆ One Star

This is not just a bad experience—this is a warning. My personal and professional interactions with Live In Fitness and its founder, Eric Viscovicz, were emotionally draining, financially exploitative, and ultimately left me feeling unsafe and triggered.

When you first meet Eric, it’s hard not to like him. He’s charismatic, vivacious, and an expert marketer. He has a history of training celebrities like Jessica Biel and Khloe Kardashian, and he used to proudly share photos of them everywhere. In every new facility (currently 7105 East Paradise Drive in Scottsdale, AZ), a video plays on loop about his military background, his strict military father, and his intense philosophy of personal discipline. Online, he posts “Cookie Monster” skits urging people to stop reaching for cookies—quirky, intense, and meant to motivate.

In 2019, I returned to Live In Fitness in Long Beach under a creative deal to document my stay as a content creator in exchange for housing and a refunded deposit. After two brutal weeks of 8-hour daily workouts, I visited a legal dispensary. Eric flipped. He barged into my private room without consent, rummaged through my purse, makeup bag, and toiletries, and shamed me for having condoms—as if that were somehow relevant to the fitness program. It was invasive, humiliating, and frankly inappropriate.  It was a stunning violation of privacy. I wasn’t even a paying client—I was working. And I was left reeling from the interaction, deeply triggered, and emotionally unsafe.

He’s also been known to blur lines with staff. At one point, I watched him publicly mock Nicola, his former manager from the UK, about her past weight while at an IHOP. She had, in fact, lost weight under his system, but his treatment—shaming and belittling—felt cruel, not empowering.

In 2021, through my company Clelia Jane Photography LLC, I completed hours of professional photography for his facility under contract. I was never paid the agreed amount. Multiple invoices, emails, and eventually a legal demand letter were ignored.

Despite pouring hours into content creation, I never handed over the final work, because I realized I was being exploited, and something about the entire situation wasn’t right, including rummaging through my personal belongings, shaming me for personal choices that weren’t on the clock, and rude comments about other people’s weight.

I had gone to Live In Fitness hoping to feel better about a complicated past. Instead, I ended up in an environment that made things worse. I met some cool people, and there were great trainers there—but even they seemed caught in a weird dynamic. It felt like they had to work out four hours a day, flooding themselves with endorphins, just to tolerate working under Eric.

Professionally, Eric completely ghosted a contracted project under my company, Clelia Jane Photography LLC. I delivered over three weeks of photo and video documentation, with a contract stipulating payment.  After more than two years of chasing the payment, including legal intervention, he simply refused to pay.

A lawyer confirmed the troubling pattern:

“Eric’s pattern is to shut down his facility and move to another state as soon as he faces legal pressure. He’s operated in Arizona, California, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

His online background is likely falsified, and he changes bank accounts to avoid collection. I’ve left multiple messages for him. No response.”

Another note:

“You can file in Virginia and try to domesticate the judgment in Arizona, but it may cost more than you’re owed. He knows how to avoid paying. He’s not an ethical businessman.”

And finally:

“Unless you’re part of his inner circle—or his cult-like loyal following—I would advise against working with or for him.”

To be fair, Eric has helped people. One client named Jermaine reportedly lost over 400 lbs and became a trainer. Some people swear he changed their lives. Others, like me, left feeling deceived, used, and emotionally shaken. It’s a hit or miss, and it depends heavily on personality, perspective, and whether you challenge the system—or fall in line.

If you're seeking a healing environment, a healthy workplace, or a trustworthy leader—do not be fooled by the stellar socials. Proceed with extreme caution.

And yes, Eric is dedicated to the mission of helping people lose weight. But dedication doesn’t excuse invading privacy, manipulating clients, or evading payment obligations.

This echoed what so many former clients and even ex-employees have said—Eric has a habit of vanishing when accountability comes knocking. And he always rebuilds somewhere new, usually under the same name, with a new set of people who haven’t heard the stories yet.
