Marketing Scam:

Origin of Marketing Company -  IPeop;e from India working out of California

This company contacted me in late May of 2024.  They specialized in Phone Transfer Leads. That means they use their data based on our requirements.

That involves the marketing company calling people and asking them if they would like information on RM.  If yes, the call is transferred to me to confirm the information the caller has obtained from the prospect.  We chat for a few minutes and the prospect is told that we will email, or snail mail them the information. And then they set a time to follow-up with them to answer any questions they have and review the difference in the 4 options we send them.

We did speak to people when the call was transferred.  The only thing was that they all mostly had the same extension on their email being outlook emails. Also no one was ever at the appointment that we made to call them back, and, in most cases, you could not leave a message as the message said “we are not taking calls now or voice mail has been set up yet.” Sometimes the phone would just ring and no one would ever answer or go to an answering device.  Since I have done lead Transfers before, we became a bit suspicious and started checking the lead name to see if it matched the name on the deed. This is when we assessed the company of the issue and sent them another lead where the property owner had died two years ago, and the house was in his estate. The only thing is that the person I talked to, verified he was the homeowner using the same name as the deceased.  At the time we talked to him we did not know that it was bogus.. We sent this information to the company and asked if one of their callers was running a scam and guess what, we have never heard from them again.

While we lost $1,300.00, the real loss cam in the proparing proposals, sending them, trying to follow up We wasted a massive amount of time and effort in following up with these leads. The information we have on the company is as follows:

Name of Company: The Live Lead   Website: TheLiveLead.Com

Email: info.thelivelead@gmail.com

Phone Number: 925-701-9070

The owner’s alleged Name: Steve Wiseman (also maybe Vikas Sharma) The money for the leads was sent to Axis Bank Limited – Acct # 921010055046737

Bank Acct Holder = Vikas Sharma / IFSC Code = UTIB0001589

Also most of the money was sent to Jassell Sotella-Perez via Zelle at 1-855-832-6471
